About us
Who operates this website?
Transtech Marketing Network LLC, an independent authorized retailer based in Melville, NY 11747. We are not an internet service provider and we are not owned by any carrier. Our job is to compare what reaches your address and place the order with the provider you pick.
Is this the official website of Spectrum, Xfinity or any other provider?
No, and we say so on every page. Provider names and logos appear here because we are authorized to sell their services. Your service agreement, bill and support come from the provider directly.
How do you make money?
Providers pay us a commission when an order placed through us is activated. Nothing is added to your price. We disclose this because you should know how any site you rely on is paid.
Is my information safe?
Our ZIP search stores nothing about you. If you call, we use only what is needed to check availability and place your order with the provider; card details are entered in the provider's own secure system, never with us. See our Privacy Policy.
Ordering & fulfillment
How do I order?
Enter your ZIP to see the providers reported there, then call (877) 365-2069. We confirm the exact address with the provider, compare plans and current offers with you, and place the order in the provider's system. That is usually one call; how long it runs depends on how many options are worth going through.
Who installs the service?
The provider. Depending on the plan you will get a self-install kit or a technician appointment. We tell you which before you order and how long each typically takes in your market.
Who sends the bill and handles support?
The provider you chose. They hold your account, so billing, outages, plan changes and cancellations go through them. We can always help you find the right number.
Can you help me switch providers?
Yes. We help time the new installation against your old service's end date, point out contract-buyout credits the new provider offers, and remind you what equipment to return so you are not charged for it.
Can I order business internet?
Yes. The coverage search has a Business toggle that surfaces the carriers filing business service at your ZIP, including metro-fiber providers. Business plans are quoted per location; call and we will get you the right sales contact.
Pricing
Will I pay more by ordering through you?
No. You pay the provider's own price; we never add a markup. A few provider promotions are online-only and can't be ordered by phone, and we tell you when that applies.
Why do prices go up after the first year?
Most cable and TV promotions run 12 months and then step up to the regular rate, commonly by $20–$35. Fiber and 5G home plans are more likely to hold a flat price. We show both numbers.
How much does home internet cost?
Most homes pay $30–$90 a month. Cable and 5G home start around $30–$50, fiber $30–$70, satellite from about $50. Equipment, taxes and fees can add $10–$20. Our internet cost guide breaks it down.
Internet basics
What is the difference between fiber, cable and 5G home internet?
Fiber sends light through glass to your home — fastest, symmetrical, most consistent. Cable uses the coaxial line most homes already have — fast downloads, slower uploads. 5G home internet uses a mobile network and a receiver in your window — no technician, speeds that depend on signal.
What speed should I get?
For one or two people, 100–300 Mbps. For a family streaming in 4K, gaming and working from home, 500 Mbps to 1 Gbps. Gigabit and above only pays off with many devices or heavy uploads. See the speed guide.
Why does the same provider offer different speeds to my neighbor?
Because networks are built segment by segment. Fiber may stop at the end of a street, and cable capacity varies by node. That is why we confirm the exact address rather than trusting the ZIP alone.
Does satellite internet work everywhere?
Nearly. Traditional satellite reaches virtually every address; newer low-orbit services offer much lower latency but depend on a clear view of the sky and hardware costs. We treat it as the fallback when wired and 5G options are thin.
What is the fastest internet available?
Fiber, where built: 1–5 Gbps is common and some markets file 8–10 Gbps. Cable reaches 1–2 Gbps downloads in many areas. Your ZIP search shows the fastest speed filed for your area.
