What each monthly rate covers

Monitoring and installation

Run by Vivint from start to finish

Vivint staff, not a contractor

The monitoring centers belong to Vivint and so do the people in them. The work is not contracted out, and alarms are verified before dispatch.

Checked before dispatch

Emergency services are called only after a monitoring agent has confirmed the alarm is genuine.

Placed for your floor plan

The technician checks the doors, glass and blind spots in person and decides where sensors and cameras go, so placement is not left to guesswork.

Runs through outages

A cellular link and battery backup keep the system reporting if the phone line is cut or the power fails.

No handset needed in an emergency

Help can be summoned without anyone getting to a phone, useful for an older relative or a child at home alone.

Insurance premiums

Some insurers reduce homeowners or renters premiums for a monitored home. The discount, if any, is set by your insurer.

The order, step by step

What happens after you call

01

Describe the property

Rooms, entry doors, whether you own or rent, and what you want monitored. No account or email is required.

02

Vivint prices the design

You receive the equipment list and the monthly total, with the monitoring rate and the equipment payment on separate lines.

03

A Vivint technician installs

Vivint sells professionally installed systems only. Nothing is left half-configured: the system is set up and tested before the technician goes.

One call for the rate,
the equipment and the term

We read you the monitoring rate, the equipment cost and the contract length before you agree to anything. As an independent authorized Vivint retailer we place the order; Vivint installs the system, monitors it and bills you.
