What Astound charges for internet
Astound's fiber-powered service reaches selected locations only, and the speed on offer changes with the address. The tiers are listed from top speed down: the two Gig tiers carry Astound's published rates, and the slower ones are quoted market by market. Before any order, we confirm which of them your address can get.

Rate given by phone
No national rate is published by Astound for these tiers, so we quote the one for your address.
Below Gig, Astound sells slower tiers whose line-up and pricing change from market to market. We tell you which of them your address qualifies for, and at what rate, during the call.
- Astound sets speed and rate market by market

Address, rates and order on one call
We check whether Astound serves your street address, read you the rates that apply there, and take the order before you hang up. As an independent authorized partner of Astound Broadband, we place it in Astound's own system, and the network you connect to is Astound's.
Ordering by phonePromotional rate or Price for Life?
Some Astound rates are promotional and change when the promotion ends; others are Price for Life. Before you agree to the order, we say which of the two you have been quoted and, for a promotion, the rate it moves to afterwards.
Filed coverage first, your address second
Astound's FCC filings show where it reports service, but only an address check shows whether it reaches your home. We run that check with you on the line, and no order is placed until it is done.
Contract terms, before you agree
Per Astound, Price for Life plans come with no contract and no cancellation penalty. A different promotion may bring terms of its own; if yours does, we read them out.
Changing your mind within 30 days
Cancel within 30 days of install as a new residential customer and Astound's guarantee returns up to a month's recurring service and equipment charges, paid within 60 days once Astound's conditions are met. Usage-based fees are excluded.
States in Astound's service list
Astound Broadband names the areas below. A state on this list means Astound operates somewhere in it; it does not mean that service, or fiber-powered speed, reaches your address. That is settled one address at a time, and the FCC filings for your ZIP are the next step.
- California
- Illinois
- Indiana
- Maryland
- Massachusetts
- New York
- Oregon
- Pennsylvania
- Texas
- Virginia
- Washington
- Washington, D.C.
Astound may add or drop service areas at any time.
Start with Astound's filings for your ZIP
Your ZIP opens our coverage search, built on the FCC Broadband Data Collection, which lists the providers that have filed service there. A ZIP is only the starting point: the speeds and price for your street address are confirmed on the call.

Seven things to settle before the call
No. The site belongs to an independent, authorized partner of Astound Broadband services. Our part is the coverage check, the rates and the order; Astound owns the brand, runs the network and provides the service. Final service terms are confirmed directly on your official Astound order.
No. The plan costs what Astound charges for it. Astound pays us a commission when you order through us, so the coverage check and the call cost you nothing.
Up to 1.5 Gig (1,500 Mbps) on Price for Life plans, the top of Astound's published fiber-powered tiers. Astound says fiber-powered internet is offered in selected locations and varies by area, so your address decides the speed, and we confirm it before any order.
It fixes the monthly rate on certain fiber plans at Gig speed or faster. Astound says that rate does not go up while the service stays on your account, and the plans carry no contract or cancellation penalty. The lock leaves out taxes, surcharges, fees and one-time charges.
Either, depending on the product. DIRECTV via Astound is DIRECTV live TV delivered through your Astound internet connection to a Gemini device, with no dish to install. It comes with a 2-year price guarantee, and it requires Astound Internet running at 100 Mbps or more. Astound TV is Astound's own service and runs on TiVo.
None on Price for Life, according to Astound, and no cancellation penalty either. Other promotions can come with their own conditions, which we name on the call before you agree.
You may get money back. New residential customers who cancel within 30 days of install fall under Astound's 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee, which refunds at most one month's recurring service and equipment charges within 60 days, provided every condition is met. Usage-based fees are not included in the refund.
Fine print
What each * on this page refers to. Every rate and condition below is Astound Broadband's.
- Rates by market
- All rates on this page are Astound Broadband's published rates. Astound prices by market, so the rate at your address may differ. Rates reflect Astound's autopay and e-bill discount with ACH enrollment and exclude taxes, surcharges and fees. Astound sets all pricing, speeds, promotions and availability and may change them at any time. Final terms are confirmed on your official Astound order.
- Setup charges
- Astound charges a one-time activation fee of $14.99, in addition to any installation fee. Self-installation is free for new internet service where available. If self-installation is unavailable or unsuccessful, a $99.95 professional installation fee may apply; professional installation is free with a valid coupon code.
- 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
- Astound's stated terms: "30-Day Money-Back Guarantee for new residential customers who cancel within 30 days of install. Max refund = 1 month's recurring service & equip. fees. Refund issued within 60 days if all conditions met. Excludes usage-based fees."
- Astound Mobile
- Astound Mobile requires active Astound Internet. Maximum 5 lines per account. After 20GB, unlimited plans slow to 768 Kbps. No rollover data; additional data $10/GB. The introductory offer is one unlimited line applied as a monthly bill credit for 12 months.
- eero mesh equipment
- Whole Home WiFi powered by eero is included with 2 Gig+ service. On lower speeds it is a paid add-on. Astound publishes conflicting equipment figures across its own pages, so no rate is shown here — call for the rate that applies to your plan and market.
